This is a GREAT companion book for body workers, especially those practicing any type of visceral work. Very simple language, easily readable by the layperson. Great insights and tips based on Barral's experience and studies for physical and emotional health. Highly recommended.

I am a physical therapist with 3 years studies in osteopathic medicine. My background dictated higher expectations from this book. At best, this book is ment for a lay person with some curiosity as to how the body responds to emotional strains, with a focus from organ to organ. It is basic in its concepts and basic in its connections with nutrition and other therapies. The stories Dr. Barral gives are interesting in seeing the connection between emotion and organ involved. Even as a lay person, however, one can see the conflicts and inconsistencies in the information presented. For example, the same emotions affect different organs, it appears. The scope Dr. Barral wanted to cover in this book is overwhelming and some things cannot be simplified and presented in a concise manner. Dr. Barral is a seasoned clinicial with deep, rooted wisdom and I was hoping to get more of those pearls of wisdom in this book.
